Virtual Mobility Call

3DforEcoTech is launching calls for Virtual mobilities. Below are specific projects that should take 2-3 weeks of work, and you will receive 1,500 euros. For these grants, no travelling is expected.

The call opens on September 5th, 2025. The call will close when candidates are found, so it will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The virtual mobility should finish at the end of September by submitting a report on the outcomes of the virtual mobility. After approval of the report, the grant will be paid.

How to apply
Virtual Mobility Topic 1: Dissemination of scientific outputs
  • Here, the applicant will summarise the papers published and those about to be published into short blogs that will then be published within the 3DforEcoTech COST Action Wiki page.
  • Secondly, for the selection of those already published, the applicant will fill out the leaflets. The design is already created; only the paragraphs about the outputs should be created.
Virtual Mobility Topic 2: Algorithm and Data
  • Here, the applicant will update the database of algorithms that was created within the 3DforEcoTech website: https://3dforecotech.eu/database/
  • The database will be updated to include new filters. The applicant should actively search for new algorithms and create a plan to reach developers to submit their algorithms.
  • Secondly, we will create a similar website for open data. The plan here is to add at least 10 examples of open data and give feedback on the structure of the website/database. One example of such data is, for example: https://researchdata.tuwien.ac.at/records/kndye-egv02
Virtual Mobility Topic 3: Feedback from Participants on the Impact
  • Here, the applicant will mainly focus on the creation of a questionnaire for training school participants to quantify the impact of these activities on the use of terrestrial-based lidar technologies in their research.
  • Secondly, a similar focus on those who were the main organisers of meetings or training schools or those leading papers, WGs, tasks. The focus here will be on the impact of 3DforEcoTech on their careers and the future development of their research focus.
  • Finally, an investigation of stakeholders’ involvement through local organisers of all meetings and training schools.
