Allometries and Close-range Technologies

Do you have data from destructive measurements (traditional approach) paired with scans from close-range technologies? This kind of data is quite scarce and involves much work. Therefore, the value of this data, combined from different locations/countries, is even greater, and we would really appreciate it if you could help us in the compilation of information to improve our knowledge of this topic.

If you can provide this kind of data (together with a review of the manuscript), we would like to offer you co-authorship in the publication for your datasets (one person per dataset).

So, if you have such data, please go to the form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdxzMkKwQ-TbytK8_ERjcq57ZIl4eRL3REFlwCGrtBotrS2gg/viewform

In case you have any doubt, please do not hesitate to contact us: meinrad.abegg@wsl.ch and menendez.maria@inia.csic.es.

Aim & Objectives Precision forestry is an approach to forest management that leverages advanced technologies to enhance decision-making processes and optimize forest operations. LiDAR technologies enable detailed measurements of tree height, canopy density, stem diameter, and even understory vegetation, allowing for a more precise understanding of forest composition and health. By capturing data at a...

TreeAI4Species Data Science Competition is a global challenge to develop innovative algorithms for identifying tree species using high-resolution aerial imagery. This competition is an opportunity for data scientists, researchers, and AI practitioners to push the boundaries of remote sensing and AI applications in forestry. The results of this competition will contribute to the development of scalable,...
